Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Deutsch)

Rating: Great game, unfortunately the story itself is a bit “short”, which reflects in the time you need to complete the game. It took me about 6h. The game itself focuses on multiplayer action. All game modes are superb, and there are cooperative modes available for the first time in CoD.

Call of Duty: World at War

Rating: Excellent shooter, but after some world war X shooters, there’s nothing really new. But still great fun playing the campaign once. Not as good multiplayer modes as Modern Warfare 2 has.

Resistance 2

Rating: This game continues the story from Resistance – Fall Of Man. This is a great shooter with stunning effects and sufficient content to keep you in front of your TV.  Real must-have if you can avoid playing in multiplayer modes.

Rating: Best looking racing game for the PS3 today (01/2010). Colin McRae DiRT 2 is actually an arcade racer, but the physics are well-done, too (not as bad as in GRID). There are plenty of locations, cars and race types available. I personally do like the rally-like race types but I try to avoid these truck races, as they are pretty slow. The multiplayer itself is great too, but between races you have to wait about 2 minutes for all people to do their votes and choose their cars – which is a long time if the race only takes about 2 minutes. Still, Colin McRae Dirt 2 is my candidate for the best racing game on PS3 until 2010.

Rating: This game is EPIC! I’ve played all the Metal Gear games on PS1 and PS2, so obviously I had to play MGS4! And it was an unbelievable experience. MGS4 is half movie half game. But the cinematics are great, really great, and there are lot of them… about 10h if I remember correctly. It’s like a very good book, you can’t stop playing until you know how it ends. This is a game you have to finish once in your life. You just have to.

Rating: Nice game, rich story and nice graphics. Sometimes it can be a little but frustrating as some bosses are very hard to get. Play once, then sell.

Rating: Assassins creed is a masterpiece. Graphics and environment are perfect. Even though the story could be more intense and detailed sometimes, it is definitely worth playing!

Rating: What a pile of crap… Black on PS2 looked way better than this. Worst shooter I’ve played on PS3 until today. My tip: avoid!

Rating: I don’t know how people and magazines rate this game with huge scores. Controls bad, graphics worse (I haven’t seen that much pixels since some PS 1 games), boring – really boring, and definitely not comparable to good RPGs. Rubbish, just rubbish!

Rating: One of the best horror shooters I’ve ever seen. Great story, amazing atmosphere and a shocking soundtrack. Don’t play at night…

Rating: A very easy-2-play – but sometimes frustrating – adventure. The story is nice but the end is a bit short. But even tough the story’s good, the game itself has it’s flaws. You can’t do much when you’re not watching a movie scene – most of the time you just run around and shoot the “bad guys” or jump from cliff to cliff. Well, to be honest, that’s all you can do. Run around and shoot or jump. So it’s a plain and simple game which offers enough to play it once. But once is enough, really. Maybe they improved the sequel…

Rating: This is just epic. Best RPG I’ve played a long time.

Rating: Everything is perfect in this game. Really – everything! Story is ginormous, epic, unbelievably cool. Soundtrack’s awesome. Graphics are better then ever expected to be on a console. Just gorgeous! This game is in the TOP5 of my play-before-death list. From my point of view this is as impressive as good old lord of the rings. No, it is! Really! Don’t believe me? Go buy it, play it, then I’ll accept your excuses.

Rating: The best successor of FF7. It’s nearly perfect, except the level-up mechanism (some kind of board) is a bit weird. If you can get your hands on it – it’s worth a play, even today!

Rating: I consider Final Fantasy 7 as the best game on consoles ever. No game ever came to me more emotional than FF7. If you know the game, you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t – then it’s time to forget all this new stuff – get FF7. This game is also available for PS3!

Rating: This is the best racing simulation available today. There is no other racing simulation out there which feels at least half as real as GTR2 does. Use some kind of force feedback wheel, at best the Logitech Momo Force, or a newer more expensive one, and you’ll spend hour after hour racing on famous tracks.

Rating: Great strategy game, best soundtrack and sounds ever! And – if you’re a maniac, psycho or just a bit weird – this game is for you. Lead the Chaos Marines to victory.

Warcraft 3 – Frozen Throne Add-On – Bestseller Series (Vivendi)

Rating: Best strategy game I can think of. Newer and nicer than Starcraft, as complex and balanced, with a big community, great singleplayer, even better multiplayer (Battle-Net)… What more can you want? Unfortunately, I was never very good at WC3… but I love it nevertheless.
